Adjustable Dog Harness - For the Comfort and Convenience of your Pet
A daily walk with your dog can easily
turn into a disaster. Even if your dog is not particularly rowdy, external
stimuli may cause it to lunge, run, and harm itself—or you. For safety, it's
best to use proper dog-walking equipment, including an adjustable dog harness.
Are you still using a collar? It's time to switch to a dog harness. Collars are a common source of neck pain for dogs because they place an unsustainable amount of stress on their necks.
Small dogs with delicate necks are especially susceptible to tracheal collapse, when the windpipe collapses and makes breathing difficult. Wearing a collar in such circumstances may result in significant health risks. Adjustable harnesses can help prevent neck injury.
Collars harm big dogs, too. If a dog's neck is subject to too much tension, it can result in or exacerbate ocular proptosis. This condition can develop in any dog regardless of breed, but some dogs are more prone to it than others. Owners of snub-nosed breeds like pugs and Pekinese should be careful about ocular prolapse.
If your dog constantly pulls on its leash, consider switching to an adjustable harness that will distribute force instead of concentrating tension in the neck.
